At our last plant study we learnt about Rose, what a gorgeous experience!

The medicine of Rose creates a Heart expansion, with tenderness, love and protection. Rose teaches us to let go by giving a deep sense of relaxation and presence. This can then enable a trust in ourselves to be open to the channels of love and pleasure and helps us to connect with the heart love that comes through from our ancestors.
As we learn about Rose and experience the mindful handling of this plant that has such softness as well as extremely sharp parts! We understand that to be gentle, respectful and mindful with ourselves helps us to gain strength, have healthy boundaries and to live the life we want in Peace and Love.
Rose teaches us to be self sufficient. The plant shows us that there are an infinite variety of directions to move in and that we know the right way if we learn to trust ourselves and to know that Love is always there. Rose enables a protective space for us to cope with change and assists us in having a healthy pride and boldness in who we are.
We explored Rose through our creativity with artwork, poetry, the Drum and making medicines from this mighty plant.
We drank the Rose petals and experienced a nourishing, comforting and invigorating nature. We found our breathing was more open and deeper, we felt uplifted and had a sense of strength and discernment.
We made syrups and vinegars with the Wild Rose hips (Roseira-brava- Rosa canina) growing on the land, a great vitamin C and immune boost. We also made beautiful flower essences from both the White and Red Roses. I have been taking these essences and sharing with others over the last few weeks, WOW!

Lammas Celebrations.
A shift is happening, seeds of inspiration sown earlier in the year have had time to develop. As we move into this time of reflection, we can gain a deeper understanding of who we are and gain more insight into our actions.
