It is amazing how much grows with little to no water. This rainy season we have had very little rain. The abundance of Nature is inspiring and gives Hope and Courage. Wow to the following blossoms and plants that have sprung up over the last few weeks.
The bees have been enjoying these Rosemary bushes over the last weeks. The sound and activity has been immense. Day after day collecting and NON stop harvesting and just buzzing around this wonderful herb.
We are so grateful for the abundant evergreen all around that gives such a contrast to the dry red rocky earth.
No photos or audio yet, but the birds and their song have been fabulous. They really love it here at Ceratonia and observing them is a Joy. I have really noticed how the different varieties of small birds, full of colour and beautiful patterns work and live together amongst the trees. They are cheeky too, as they enjoy the seeds I've sown... Of course there are birds that keep to themselves like the Hawk, the Owls, the eagle and the woodpeckers have been non stop recently!
Changes have been going on in the gardens: A new vegetable garden has been dug, de stoned and onions, cabbages, kale, carrots, beetroot, coriander have all been planted. This wonderful new garden is very close to the house!! The old veg plot has become the Enchanted Garden. I am very excited by this, basically the plants guided these changes! Already recently planted Valerian, Rue, Stachys, Yarrow, Chamomille, Saffron and many more, also sown loads of seeds. Watch this space! Calendula's garden ever more finds its place as an Aromatic garden and the Chakra system is still very present within it.
Making mulch from the cuttings of Olive and many other trees and plants from the land.
As this post is being created the RAINS have come!!!! Celebrations!!!! It may be that we have Rain for some days, then the Sun will come. Then we shall see what beauties burst forth. Photos will be taken and a new blog will be made.
