This plant is called Blue Hound's Tongue (Cynoglossum creticum). It is funny that this flower should be growing around our way! As there are many dogs around, os cães in Portuguese. These dogs have a lot to say, which tickles me as blue links to communication.
They live in neighbouring villages and they speak to each other over long stretches of land (I think...) and then there is quiet as they await the responses, which come after a while! The dogs will also bark at new noises and although we are not exactly sure what goes on, sometimes the geese get involved and my oh my a party of sorts seems to go on!
