To understand this plant better, to connect and learn from the plant we observed, listened, put our feelings and thoughts into creative expression. We made teas and decoctions with flower, leaf and bark. We made infused oils and essences from the flowers and leaves.
We learnt that the medicine of Cistus gives expansion, especially in the heart, lungs, gut and womb, creates a deep relaxation in the smooth muscles. A nourishing and softening herb enabling hope and ease as we surrender to our truth.
The moment is now, don't take it for granted.
After reading a little about the herb I quote the following "Cistus albidus is a semideciduous Cistaceae that is known for its antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, gastro protective, anti-tumor properties and it is also a preventive against cardiovascular diseases. Leaves decoctions are used for the hypoglycemic treatment of gastric pain. As a poultice, leaves are used to treat abscesses. Infused in tea, they are used as a digestive."L. Bendifallah, S.
