Big burning fires are all over the Algarve at the moment. Although the ash will make the soil even more alkaline. I agreed to having some fires at Ceratonia. We will put plenty of manure to balance things out. I have found a good source!
Fire is a wonderful, cleansing and fortifying Element! Makes you stop and look.
We will use the wood from the land to burn in our wood burner. But our fabulous shredder arrived this week and soon we will put it into action. Ceratonia will be much better for having plenty of mulch from all the shredded prunings than the ash.
Work continues on the centre, outside walls are nearly done and if I could understand all the technology in front of me you would have photos! They will come tonight.
The Woodmen continue to build our Centre and this week Ceratonia has seen plumbers, Solar heating folk and a man who makes wood burners. We have also just had a cisterna dug in and all the trenches have been dug for the waste…fossa nearly done and a grey water system in place!

The sea is so close, yet when one is so busy with everything, you can forget to go. We had a wonderful burst of Sea air a few days ago.
