We have had a very busy time in the last few months, as always in the gardens and some aspects I have already shared with Corey's family and mine helping to get the Centre at Ceratonia completed. Always more soft touches to be done but basically we are there! My cyber clinic has always been a constant since we moved to Portugal, but recently the clinic at Ceratonia has blossomed and the extended consultations that I have offered to my long term patients has also been brilliant. More people from Portugal and living here are booking in for these extended stays too! It warms my heart greatly as one of the reasons we have worked so hard to create this space, has been linked to the dream I have always had. Knowing that in order for people to really flourish I needed a piece of land, and now Ceratonia has really started to facilitate this and has given folk some peace and space to heal. Photos are of the ever changing North garden, some plants will transform through the seasons others have short but beautiful abundance! Plant studies continue and we have our next one this Full Moon 1st-2nd June. Be in touch if you are interested, [email protected]

As the seasons change the vegetables are abundant, delicious and growing. The wild terrain is changing to a golden hue! The terrace has basically been completed and lights have been installed. Plants are appearing on the terrace everyday... Jacaranda mimosifolia, beautiful healing tree. Corey tending to the trees in the orchard. The White Mulberry ripening. We have been eating the fruits and they taste so sweet and gorgeous! Beautiful Bougainvillea-this dear plant salvaged from a construction site!
Beltane a celebration of the Life force! Passion for your loved ones and a time to connect with what you are really passionate about. If you love Nature take some time out to be in your favourite wild place and celebrate all that Nature gives and what you give back. Give thanks to this fertile earth that is linked to everything and shows that anything is possible! Everything is in a process of becoming and here at Ceratonia we can relate to this. Roses for me Celebrate Love and Passion and heal the Heart, we have planted a huge amount and will continue to! Below you will see the simple wild Rose we have down by the river, what a beauty. In this last month time has been spent on Calendula's garden, planting up all the small plants that were seeded in the nursery, Melissa, Borage, Mugwort, Catnip, Milk thistle, Feverfew, Rosemary, Thyme, Camomile, Lemon Verbena, Vervain, Calendula and so much more and many more still in the nursery waiting to get a bit bigger. All is exciting and very happy that the Hawthorn has germinated and a small shoot has appeared in the last few days.. Especially as Hawthorn is a specific Beltane herb. Work has been going on in the Vegetable garden known in Portuguese as A Horta. Many folk have worked on this area, now Corey has taken the reins and in this last week his family have been helping massively. Tweaks have been needed as huge boulders were found under beds and many stones have been used to fix the surrounding walls. Huge learning has been going on mainly from our mistakes, but this is a part of what it is all about! Photos will come soon, but the courgettes, broccoli, spinach, kale, garlic and onions are looking fabulous! Beans and parsnip seeds sown direct in the Winter are coming up well and tomatoes, cabbages, beetroot, beans, melons, squashes and many more have been planted up. Corey's uncle who has been growing vegetables for decades has been sharing his wealth of wisdom which has been fantastic. Our light fittings have been rather raw and nondescript! However Corey´s Dad and Uncle who is a retired electrician have been helping to make the Centre at Ceratonia look that bit brighter and softer, including lights outside. Merci beaucoup!
